Helen was producer and executive producer of this powerful documentary about young teens’ experiences with name-calling and bullying. Part of the Respect for All Project, Let’s Get Real has been used in schools and community groups throughout the country and endorsed by the National Education Association, Teaching Tolerance, the National Association of School Psychologists and many others.

That’s a Family! (2000)

Helen was executive producer of this inspiring, award-winning film for elementary school kids about family diversity that screened to a packed room of educators and child advocates at the Clinton White House in 2000. The first of the films for kids in the Respect for All Project, That's a Family! has been used extensively in teacher training programs and has fostered collaborations among numerous mainstream educational and cultural organizations.

With Debra Chasnoff, Helen produced this groundbreaking film that explores how teachers can include discussions about lesbian and gay people in their elementary and middle school classrooms. It’s Elementary has won numerous educational and film festival awards, aired on over 100 PBS stations, and fueled a tidal wave of activism and advocacy around these controversial issues. The film laid the groundwork for Groundspark's Respect for All Project, which has had an enormous impact in the field of anti-bias education and violence prevention.
